This was enjoyable, but probably 25% longer than it really needed to be.

A hockey romance that actually has hockey in it?! But love it!

Bailey is dumped on her 21st birthday by her boyfriend, Luke. That same night, at a night club with friends, she meets rival school hockey star, Chase Carter. She wants to hate him — but she can’t. He took care of her when she got way too drunk.

Chase may be a playboy hockey player, but with Bailey he is different. He is smitten. Because of her being friends with him, it causes a rift with her “friends.” I didn’t feel like they were true friends.

Chase is a great book boyfriend. He’s honest with Bailey even if it comes out harshly. He is very protective of Bailey , too - especially with her ex-boyfriend. They have awesome banter and flirtatious times. Plus, their steamy scenes are pretty hot.

I really enjoyed this romance. It’s well over 500 pages but I never felt like there were slow parts.

Thank you to Bramble Romance for the advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ok…so the storyline wasn’t terrible. It had good potential but dang this dragged on way longer than it needed to!

So I really enjoyed Chase and Bailey’s relationship, however it was WAY to long. I would have liked it more if it were broken into two smaller books but the story just dragged on. I kept thinking it was over with a cute ending then something else happened and it was aggravating as hell.

I loved this book but Carter should have manned up way before Luke did what he did. Bailey loves him for him. She just knew he need support
