I have mixed feelings about this book. It was fun to see how the books have differed from the show but I am disappointed in how the author has portrayed people of color and how she describes/characterizes fat characters. On the other hand, she includes three-dimensional gay characters, which seems forward for the 1990s. I can appreciate that it was written 20 years ago, I'm hoping that she does more justice for her non-white characters in the rest of the series!
Just one thing - what’s with the fat shaming in this book? It’s constant, unnecessary and just plain disgusting.
Still loved the book, but the fat shaming made me very uncomfortable and kind of ashamed of enjoying it.

love this series!
What a fun twist on the characters I have grown to love! This was a bit slower than the other reads but enjoyed nonetheless!

Spoiler
I really enjoyed 3/4ths of this book. The ending felt very rushed and slapped together and I found myself very confused. After reading summaries and other reviews I realized that I wasn't alone in my confusion. Besides the ending, I really enjoyed this book. That being said, it's not my favorite book in the series and the fact that Jamie and Claire were apart for 20 years is very heartbreaking. I disliked how the character of Wiloughby was portrayed but he was redeemed a little in the end.
