Blah blah blah flying horses blah blah blah seen it all before blah blah blah not that exciting - ah maybe sometimes I get a little cynical but this one just never grabbed me, and was just a little dull for me. Others may really enjoy it, but the whole flying horse story was just not for me, and as part two it worked even less well.

When I asked for more character, I didn’t mean more characters! There were times in this book where I started feeling a huge disconnection from the cast as they didn’t seem to be as fleshed out as I’d like them to have been. However, when the third act began and the stakes were risen, I was instantly immersed again. That said, I still feel as though this series really had a lot of potential, but for the most part it feels like a second draft that could really have been polished once or twice more so it could really shine. Maybe my expectations are too high?
Onto the next instalment of the series! I hope it gets better from here!

Starfire intrigued me. Stormbound met the expectations I had from the first book and went beyond.
After the first book, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was even a little hesitant because most series that start off with a really intense book usually can't keep the momentum going. However,Stormbound fit nicely and logically into the series. It was even more enjoyable than the first to me, now that I'm used to the world and characters.

This is the second book, and again we read this as our read aloud for this month. This was also an amazing story. Star has his Starfire and is learning how to use it. Some Pegasi have accepted him and some have not. Nightwing has awakened. There is so much depth to this story, and since it’s a kids book I didn’t expect that- to be honest. I’m a little irritated that it ends right at a pivotal moment, but it was Also the best place for it to end. The bonus short story is well worth the read as Wells.
