My Summer Fling

Dana Isaly

3.9 AVERAGE

Dana Isaly has tried something new and has hit it out of the park. This is not as dark as some of Isaly’s previous works but it is just as good if not better. A beautiful story that showcases a lifelong love that starts as a childhood crush that quickly turns into sexual tension as they grow up. Noah’s character is so relatable, torn between his friendship and his undeniable attraction to Millie, he is constantly trying to do what his heart desires and inevitably putting his foot into his mouth. Such amazing self discovery, acceptance and chemistry. I absolutely devoured this lighter story from Dana in one sitting!

Sometimes you just need a down and dirty "| barely tolerate you" with benefits romance read. My Summer Fling was that for me last week. It was a quick read that kept my attention the whole time and I found myself sneaking in a bit of reading on breaks at work when I usually just doom scroll on my phone. I really enjoyed Millie and Noah's dynamic and how you didn't get all the background right up front. Smut was well distributed through the book which I liked. Would definitely recommend to to anyone like myself that doesn't typically read a whole lot of modern romance, because this doesn't exactly fit in that box lol @author.danaisaly thank you for the ARC!

This was not what I was expecting when I got this book. I honestly didn’t like it.

Noah, we really falling for a man that doesn’t know how to express himself and when he’s trying to express himself he says bs? i didn’t see the appeal. And this whole “you’re mine” vibe he had going on wasn’t attractive. but i did respect it when he was beating her ex’s ass cause that b*tch deserved it.

Millie, she was okay. surely not my favorite character. I liked how she stood up for herself and took time to herself to think about the situation rather than jump back into him.

But their whole dynamic relationship was just odd. I didn’t like it but yolo i guess

First let me say I love Dana Isaly’s books. I think she’s so diverse in what she writes there is basically something for everyone, age-gap, why choose, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, second chance, you name it she’s probably written it.
This book is hands down amazing. It has brothers best friend, second chance, friends to lovers. It has the right amount of spice and the type of spice that makes you blush when you read it.
Millie’s brother asks her if he can have his wedding on her private beach next summer to which she agrees but what she didn’t agree to was his best friend Noah coming to help her plan it.
That next summer he shows up on her door step ready and willing to help with the wedding. One drunken night she propositions him to a summer fling before the wedding, no feelings, no attachments, just sex. That’s totally possible right? What could go wrong?

This might be my favorite book by Dana yet. I loved this friends to enemies to lovers story between Millie and Noah and I hope there’s a sequel!

This is a quick spicy read, that gives you a happily ever after. We all dream of having a Noah your life , the letter ugh! The conflicts between the characters are something I’m sure brothers best friend/sister romances you don’t see in a lot of books.

✨ARC REVIEW✨

So good! I was able to get an ARC of this and honestly if you are in a book slump you won’t be when you are done with this! Releases 8/19!

☀️Brothers Bestfriend
☀️lost love found again
☀️Spice-

Look, I don't know how she does it, but Dana continues to write some of my very favourite books and she's done it once again! My Summer Fling is a brothers best friend, second chance, friends to lovers, friends with benefits contemporary romance novella. Most of these are not my go-to tropes, but I don't even care - I loved every minute!

This quick, summer read is set on the beach and has everything you need. An FMC who's strong and independent, an MMC that's charming and has leg tats (not something I thought I needed but now...), just enough angst and plenty of the spice we all know and love from Dana.

A perfect little read to finish off the summer!
