Have you ever read a book that put a smile on your face and that you enjoy so much you don’t want it to end ? Well, The Foxe and the Hound was it for me. I’ve read Anything you can do by the same author and said that R.S. Grey couldn’t do better as I thought it couldn’t be more perfect than that. But she did it! This book exceeded everything.

When we read the summary, it sounds like something you could have already read and yet it isn’t. The characters make all the difference. Madeleine is your typical modern, independent woman, with big dreams but quickly caught up by reality and who works really hard to succeed. She needs to deal with awful co-workers, financial difficulties and not very promising candidates for a futur husband. I love that a lot of women her age can identify. The fact that she thought at her age she would have her life figured out but reality is a bit different. And I especially loved her humor and inner dialogue.

Adam is a victim of his good looks because beneath it is a sensitive man who’s been burnt before and will be hesitant to enter a new relationship. However he’s not indifferent to Madeleine’s charm which will torment him, for our enjoyment.

Every scene, every dialogue, every word exchanged between Madeleine and Adam brought a smile or a laugh out of me. They were so adorable. I can’t explain what made me love them so much exactly. I can just say this couple was perfect and the magic was there. That special something that makes you melt. How he didn’t want anything to do with her but couldn’t get enough of her at the same time. Both their honesty and genuine feelings. Everything was perfect and I recommend this book to every lover of romantic comedy and everyone who would like to have a good time in the company of lovable and endearing characters such as Adam and Madeleine (Not to forget Mouse and Molly!).

PS : I have a soft spot for the hand-shaking scene during the bowling night. 🙂 <3

I’m off to re-read the book. Bye !

Love,
L.

A cute contemporary romance with a funny main character. I loved that the characters met and bonded with the heroines dog. I'm a sucker for pets. The heroine did not have her life together. That can get annoying quickly but the author did a good job not overdoing that trope.

Another fun read from R.S. Grey! I can always count on her books when I'm in the mood for something light. This one has the added bonus of a mischievous little puppy named Mouse. I really enjoyed Madeleine's and Adam's story, although it took me a while to warm up to Adam because he was kind of a jerk at the beginning but he redeemed himself by the end.

This was the book I needed to get me out of my slump. I've been putting reading off as of late because nothing seems to hold my attention or I'm too busy to have some me time. The Foxe and the Hound was just the perfect balance of light, funny, smart and sexy.

R.S. Grey gives good dialogue. Her books leave you smiling yet craving more, waiting on her next release. I honestly don't think I've ever read a bad book by her. Adam and Madeleine were one of the best book couples I've read in a while. This book definitely had me cracking up and gave me all the feels. Perfection.

While this book is a standalone, it definitely wouldn't hurt to read Anything You Can Do before diving into this one, because those characters make appearances in this book, and it's funny as hell too. Keep them coming, R.S. I need more books like this in my life.

So far this is my favorite book by RS Grey!! I liked the story and was surprised that daisy and Lucas were in this one. I am excited that the story was about Madeleine and Adam Foxe is the best! Loved mouse and the story was hilarious. The banter between Adam and Madeleine was hilarious. Daisy and Madeleine's friendship was also really cute. The story was really fast and easy to read but I really enjoyed it.

"Buxom brunette bombshell seeks billionaire to fix her financial woes. Millionaires need not apply."

"Madeleine..."

"Sexy real estate agent wants to show you her 1-bedroom."

"The are coming too easily for you."

"Sex robot seeks first real human emotion."

I groan.

"Okay fine, here's the real one: Adorably dysfunctional twenty-something seeks handsome veterinarian. Serious offers only."
