Continuing my journey through the series as read by David Tennant. Very silly and fun writing, delivered beautifully.
This was probably one of my favorites so far (although I also loved the Pirate one). I loved this because it took place in a library and I love how the job of the Hairy Scary Librarian is to keep everyone away from the books and that Hiccup's mission starts out as trying to prove that he's as good a thief as any Viking to trying to convince all the Vikings that books are a good thing and they should be available to everyone! I loved that it was an adventure where the kids ignored the parents and Kamikazi, Hiccup, and Fishlegs decide to do something dangerous on their own and we get to meet Kamikazi's dragon, who is as tiny as she is. Overall, this was super fun and the perfect listen during my platelet donation! Highly recommended.
A great addition to a wonderful series! This adventure includes Camicazi, Fishlegs, the Hairy Scary Librarian, and Driller dragons! Since David Tennet narrates this series, I will add this Dr Who quote "You want weapons? We're in a library! Books! The best weapons in the world! This room's the greatest arsenal we could have." Some other readers found this adventure less exciting than the previous ones. But I whole heartedly disagree. I loved every second of this book, it continued the fun world Cowell has created. And I always like a good tale about a library.

In A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons it's Hiccups's birthday and unusual as it is on the 29th February (a leap year). Apparently this one was his third birthday. Get it?
Anyway let's move on. This is another beautiful, funny and fun tale of the How to Train Your Dragon Series .
Plus, in this one are.... BOOKS mentioned... Yes, you heard me right: "Vikings and books?"
Well, in Hiccup's case and also because he's yet again on a quest to find a book that will restore the good faith in Toothless and most likely Hiccup himself as well.
In this story is also Camicazi again (daughter of Big-Boobied Bertha, Chief of the Bog-Burglars) as she has been for the last three books. I definitely like her as a character.
She's feisty, mischievous and lively! Plus she's got some amazing sword fighting skills :)
