I am a huge Elliott Rose fan and Vengeful Gods was top tier, but combined with Noire Moon & Macabre Gods, this may just be one of my GOD TIER series.
Angel - the silent stoic giant with his pierced peen.
Grey - the dirty mouth with a penchant for knives
Hawke - the dominant, gruff man of few words
& finally Posey (Poe) with her eternal struggle for why this entire situation turns her on and leaves her wanting more - and she wants sooooo much more.
This entire story line keeps you on the edge of your seat - and on edge in general 😏…

This book, it’s official I’m obsessed with Elliot Rose’s why choose romance! I loved vengeful gods and this one was so good. I read the novella and i was so excited to get into it and right away it gets dark and into the secret society world with a sex trafficking business. I felt so bad for the fmc tbh and was happy when she was rescued.
I loved the fmc she was strong despite not understanding the secret society. Now to the three mmc; Hawke, Angel and Grey i love those toured men so much. Angel is the typical boy obsessed and he doesn’t speak but communicates in different ways. Grey is the butcher and he’s violent but in a good way. Hawke is the mmc that runs the club and is into the dom/sub dynamic. I like that though they are morally grey men they still have this sense of justice which is a big part of the book. I also loved how the dynamics in the relationship developed and how each character development and how they got together.
This book is smutty and my girl Pos deserves it🤭. They treated her well and there is public smutty scenes and a particular moment with a blade!🫨. Also it has that micro trope where they don’t kiss on the lips and they want to!! Overall i think both the Noire plot and what the 3 mmc was trying to do was interesting and i love them together. Thanks to Elliot Rose and Luna Literary for this arc for an honest review!

Elliott Rose’s dark romance stories are amazing and this book did not disappoint. After Vengeful Gods, and the prequel Noire Moon, I was very excited for Macabre Gods to come out.
While there is extremely dark content, the love stories are bright lights in the darkness, as damaged souls learn how to live entwined with each other.
Angel is a silent, looming presence that is always looking out for Poe.
Grey will gladly flay flesh from bones to get the answers he needs to protect his people.
And Hawke takes charge over all of them and is the glue that holds them together. He brings them all together in beautiful, filthy ways. Dom Hawke is something to behold!!

The way they write kink and spice is just incredible, and these new dynamics between Poe, our fmc, and her three guys has me drooling tbh. This story follows the events of Noire Moon, a prequel novella featuring a one night stand at a haunted house (YUM), with Poe being dragged into the dark and dangerous world of the Anguis. This secret society at the center of the evil underbelly of Port Macabre wants to make her their next victim, and Hawke, Angel, and Grey are tasked with being her keepers.
God dammmmn, these four had some insane chemistry. In true Elliott fashion, they try to fight their attraction but end up unable to keep their hands off each other 🥵 I also love that Elliott’s why choose books aren’t afraid to spread the love around between characters. Each of her mmc’s have a special connection with not only Poe, but with each other. Even when it’s not entirely sexual in nature for the guys, their love and dedication to each other has my heart aching.
This book gives us more insight into the other houses of the Anguis, as well as a further peek behind the curtain to some of the scheming that you see take place in Vengeful Gods (not necessary to read, but gives more depth to the world). It’s a dark book, both in content and kink, and truly I was on the edge of my seat for most of this ride, despite knowing it’ll be a HEA lol.
