I liked this book, but i felt really spoiled by the first book, since this one takes place before in the timeline. And there's nothing I hate more than spoilers. Also, it felt very repetitive from the first book. The characters are really similar. I liked the added bdsm elements, but it wasn't enough to keep me really entertained the whole time.

Would you like a little bit of plot to accompany your spice? This book might be for you.

Honestly though, it was fine. It was interesting enough to keep me reading. It was quite unnecessarily long at times. But the spice was spicing. It was gooood.

I also loved each of the characters. They all held such a special place in my heart and I loved their development.

There was a little bit of mystery to keep you wondering, though it was a little predictable. Also, those plot points/conflicts lasted like a chapter it two. I expected a bit more. Like, a bit more fight for the guys to find her (iykyk). Basically, the conflicts were solved really freaking fast.

But I liked it. It wasn’t bad.

If you're looking for spice with a side of the plot, this is it
I loved Poe's story into Port Macabre. The litte prequel novella before book 2 was absolute chef's kiss for me.
And yes, I am absolutely 100% obsessed with Hawke, yes, sir! 😇

I enjoyed Poe and her three love interests. Angel, the big teddy bear, and Grey with his jokes and THAT mouth 🤭.
I lived through every page of my Port Macabre journey and devoured it 👌🏻👌🏻

I’m so sorry. I’m sorry in a million different ways, and then a million more.

I love you. I’ve been in love with you since the very first time I saw you. I’ll be in love with you until I no longer have life left in my bones.

I’m so in love with you, it aches. I’ll forever be in love with you, my beautiful girl.

“I’m your god now, princess. These pretty lips call my name while you’re falling apart. The only god in this bed is the worst kind of man who wants to leave here with the taste of you on my tongue all day long, because that’s about the only thing stopping me from going insane.”

I continue to read dark romance and am still very confused. Do I like it? Do I not? Not my favourite book and defs not anything mind blowing but an easy read.

ARC Review

From the teasers Elliott Rose was posting on her Instagram, I was really looking forward to reading this book. The teasers did their freaking job and when I say they hooked me, I mean that I 1000% binge read Noire Moon and Vengeful Gods when I received the ARC for this book. I would definitely check trigger warnings before reading as the main character goes through some triggering events, so please remember that your mental health matters
