this was my first “romantic suspense” or “romantic mystery” & i really enjoyed it! super fun read that kept me entertained throughout. also i did NOT guess correctly who the “bad guy” was .. so that was exciting!
This book is a love story, enemies to lovers scenario all wrapped up in a serial killer mystery.
No one is ever going to guess who the culprit is in this book. If someone tells you they figured it out, they are lying. The author weaves this story in such a way that you are questioning everyone, but the right person. I loved the background love story, but the real story lies in the family members seeking justice and peace for their loved ones.

I was so invested in this story, I needed to find out who it was and it kept me so interested. Loved it.
❤️✨This was amazing!!! I haven’t read anything else by her so I’m not sure how it stacks up to her other works but I thought as a first time pick up of this author, I was not disappointed!!
Grumpy x sunshine, “who did this to you” protective and possessive men (in a good way) kinda romance packed into a thriller suspense plot so you just keep reading to find out who did it.
I really like Rids and colts dynamic. I thought the ultra sunny short blonde tornado matched with the stoic annoyed law man was a super cute match in the end.
Lots of drama, trauma and grief in this one so maybe not a good pick if true crime is a hard topic for you but I thought the romance was well paced along side the mystery thriller part.
