Creeeeepy. Interesting take on a serial killer story and I admit I'll have to mull over the ending and story for a while to get all the pieces straight. This is not my normal genre of choosing but it was well written and definitely a page turner (although you dreaded what horrors each chapter would bring).

Loved the mini-series, but struggled with the book.

The plot of the book was intriguing, but not fleshed out enough. There were more questions than answers. I don't want to give anything away, but I would have liked more about "the house", more about why the girls were "shining". The frequent switching of time periods made the book feel more like a series of very short vignettes about each of the shining girls, rather than a fully connected novel. A lot of unrealized potential in my opinion.
