Cute story, especially enjoyable on audio.

I’m really surprised this is a debut novel! It’s excellently written, well paced and with great character development. I laughed and cried reading this. It’s very sweet with lots of engaging plot.

This was a salve on my callused and jaded soul. It was sweet, filled with good food, and made me believe in childhood-friends-turned-soulmates all over again. It read a bit like a debut (sometimes the pacing was mired by description or something similar), but otherwise, it was a cheerful time that I would gladly live again.

The characters were authentic and popped right off the page. From the troublemaker grandfathers to the troubled couple themselves, I cannot wait to read the next installment of the Vega Family Love Stories.

3.5 stars!

I cackled with this one the whole time! Both granddads were absolute menaces and hilarious, stars of the show. And of course of I cried with the end!

I loved seeing a Puerto Rican family and a Puerto Rican fmc front and center in a book. I definitely related to them and it made my heart all mushy to see part of me in a story.

However the romance seemed to lack a bit. Kamilah and Liam went from being “enemies” to being “in love” faster than the speed of light. I didn’t feel a development between both characters so the moment they were “all in” made me feel disconnected. There were also things that was glossed over that should’ve been thoroughly discussed. Like the fact that Kamilah and Liam were childhood friends and suddenly they were strangers.

I did have a good time with this one. The side characters were all so much fun to read about and the dynamics were my favorite. Looking forward to see how the next book plays out.

Super cute and easy listen! Picked it up after #FateMatesPod recommended it for some easy light reading when things feel a bit sad (if you know, you know). Fun characters and medaling grandparents, so many tropes that Natalie fit in - just so fun!
