Thank you @Netgally and publisher!
This is definitely my favorite Tessa Bailey book so far.
A FRIEND TO LOVERS TROPE! what?! I loved every minute of it.
It was so cute and heartwarming. Loved the fact that most of the time both characters communicated and didn't let missunderstanding get in the way of their "friendship."
Highly recommend!

The other Tessa Bailey was way better. This was a little more immature and ping-ponged so much unnecessarily. I also think I need to stop reading books with music themes. Who tf hears a soundtrack playing constantly in their head? She's just so qUiRkY.

I liked this one much better than the first. The characters were more relate able. The smut was watered down in this book compared to the 1st but I think that gave more room for romance. The crush she has on the director at the beginning is pretty useless to the plot because Hannah doesn’t do much to pursue it and throws it away before the reader can create any real risk in the relationship. But both Hannah and Fox have really strong character arch that I loved.

Romance books please stop making me hate romance challenge.
This was leagues better than the first one, but that's a really low bar in the first place. What is it with New Adult authors choosing to completely discard a protagonist's personality after getting them into a relationship? Hannah and Fox actually had a fun dynamic in the prologue, and I was really hoping for more friends-to-lovers in this book. Unfortunately, once again, we're thrown headfirst into the whole oh my god I'm in love with him xoxo spiel from the get-go.
And their relationship issues are so circular lol it's the same stuff over and over again with the same outcomes every time. Get a grip. Get a therapist. Go make an actual friend or something.

I loved this book! I thought it was cute, entertaining, spicy and was so surprised by the character development! I very thoroughly enjoyed this one and might have to read It Happened One Summer now!

I normally don’t enjoy a friends to lovers trope but this was SO GOOD!!!
While I had previously read and liked It Happened One Summer, I wasn’t obsessed with Piper and Brendon’s romance. Thankfully, this installment far exceeded my expectations because Hannah and Fox’s romance was everything I wanted it to be and more! Their initial friendship was so sweet and genuine, but I loved the way their feelings for each other organically developed over time. I absolutely ADORED Fox, he was such a sweet and broken little cinnamon roll. I wanted to fight anyone who ever had the nerve to make him feel unworthy or broken. Also…Fox secretly buying a record player because Hannah said her ideal man would have a record player? MY HEART!!! I also really appreciated Fox’s vulnerable moments and the way he slowly worked through his insecurities both inside and outside of their relationship. I found Hannah to be a more relatable heroine when compared to Piper for obvious reasons, which made me that much more invested in their HEA. All in all, this was such a fun rom com and (as always) Tessa Bailey’s banter and *spicy dialogue* was absolutely top tier.
