This book, A Queer History of the United States, takes a look at the history of the LGBTQ+ community from the last 500ish years within the US. There is a lot to unpack in this history book and I wouldn't even be able to begin within a review. However, I can tell you that it was a fascinating look into a small period of humanity, within one country. This book, at 313 pages could have been tripled in length and it still wouldn't have been able to go in full depth. But it's a great place to start if you would like to know more about the subject, a good overview. The author, Michael Bronski, did a great job in researching and writing about the community. This is part of a series of books that look into the history of the US and I look forward to learning more about other communities within the USA!

The narrator was too monotone for me. I kept zoning out and wasn't realy taking anything in.

I was deeply disappointed in this book. It spent too much time pontificating and not enough just informing.
