Some of the best dark humor I've ever read. If you like vamp love stories, and you like a witty parody, you will love Bloodsucking Fiends and all the books that follow. Highly recommend.

I think Christopher Moore thinks of a funny line, then says, "Hey, it would be awesome if a cop said this while chasing down vampires in San Francisco." Then he writes a book around it...

A hilarious, light read. I couldn't put it down. The first book to actually make me laugh out loud.

I think this is the book where Moore's talent really began to shine. I'm a fan of his first two, but as the story expanded here and he added in more POVs, settings, etc, you could see a firm hand in control.

Jody, against her will, joins the chorus of the night as a vampire! No, it's not nearly that dramatic, but it is relatable, in a way, and always humorous as she goes about adjusting to this life.

This is the kind of vampire story that only Christopher Moore could have penned. He took the source material just seriously enough to lampoon it perfectly. I liked it so much, I started reading the sequel, [b:You Suck|33453|You Suck (A Love Story, #2)|Christopher Moore|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331323414s/33453.jpg|2015399], as soon as I finished this. One weird thing I noticed was how much trouble I had getting through the first two pages, but after that, I couldn't put it down and finished it in a single day.

… mid, it was action packed ! and yet i didn’t really care for any of the characters n all of the jokes were cheap. I might pick up another one of his books next october ? idk tho it’s not really for me tbh just a very average read
