The beginning was a bit confusing but overall such a warm and wonderful story full of love and hope.

I think I needed more time to really get attached to these characters.

the lack of quotation marks in dialogues is making me feel insufferable.

absolutely beautiful. I devoured this in a day. such wonderful prose that's written so delicately. I wanted to dive in, the hold the narrators, to drink the wine with them.

Interesting, thought-provoking story. Very well written. I'd have liked some aspects to have been fleshed out more - but maybe was deliberate. I'd have liked to have read Annie's perspective. Reflecting on it, I felt like the female characters were generally angelic supports for the male characters - they felt a bit one dimensional.
