Cecily Wong has managed to snag an extremely sought after interview with a famous climber, Charles McVeigh. But there is a catch before he gives the interview. Cecily must summit the mountain with him. She has climbed before, but is not extremely experienced. Despite that she takes the gamble.
Cecily gives up basically everything to get this interview - she drained her savings, lost her boyfriend, and may lose her mind before the trip is over. Once they arrive at the mountain, she discovers she has far more to deal with when several freak accidents happen. Cecily wonders what is going on - is there a murderer among them? She's stranded on this mountain, unable to get contact with the outside world (although she was told she would be able to reach her employer to send updates) and now she has to deal with the elements and possibly a killer on the loose.
This book captivated me. It got pretty technical about climbing and, while I know exactly nothing about climbing, it kept me interested and engaged even during the technical parts.
This story was chilling and I don't just mean the weather. The author created a great atmosphere in describing the mountain and the events occurring, and it made you feel a part of the story. I was on the edge of my seat until the end. Definitely will check out more from this author!

This was a chilling read! I enjoyed the book and the main character Cecily
Cecily has the opportunity of a lifetime to climb a mountain with a legend. She sacrificed everything to be here. And while she may lack the most experience, she is hoping this life changing journey article will set her apart
From the beginning there is already trouble on the mountain. Suspicious deaths occur and Cecily isn’t sure who to blame. Others on the site think she is having paranoia and hallucinations from the high altitude. But what if there is a killer amongst them?
I have zero hiking experience but reading this book really made me want to learn!

This book was a total bore for me. It was boring and didn't grab my attention at all. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that I used a credit from audible I would have dnf'd this book.
It picked up in the last quarter of the story but it wasn't much. And I knew who the murderer was right at the beginning when they first started.
Even with audible I wanted to stop and dnf but me wanting to confirm I was right kept me listening/reading. This just wasn't for me.

Wow what an amazing book! Amy wrote this breathtaking thriller. I really forgot the world around me while I was reading. Thank god I know enough about mountaineering, wince there are a lot a technical terms involved.
This book grabbed me right away and I wasn’t able to put it down!
Even though I kinda had a feeling who the killer could be I wasn’t completely sure until this person revealed itself. Which made the story with several small plots even better!
