This book was exactly what I needed at exactly the right time. I was hooked from page 1 through until the end and there were twists and turns aplenty to keep me guessing. Plus, it unexpectedly helped me tick Nepal off my Read Around the World list!

Having a journalist as the protagonist worked brilliantly, as obviously a mountain climbing expedition in Nepal is hardly the place for a police detective character. Cecily's struggles with the climb and the possibility of hallucinations as a result of oxygen deprivation had me wondering how reliable a narrator she was at times.

All in all, I had a lot of fun reading this and I'd definitely recommend it.

The setting gives the reader a sense of impending doom. The characters are almost all suspicious. The ending had one twist I had guessed and one that I didn’t see coming. It was an exciting read.
