this book just didn’t do it for me. i found Cade to be extremely annoying, always whining about his religion and how he was weak and that there was a monster inside him. as someone who strongly dislikes catholicism, the fact that this book was so strongly centered around the religion was also something i struggled with, but i guess that my fault since i knew he was a priest going into it. this book isn’t terrible by any means, but it definitely wasn’t something i greatly enjoyed

My least favourite book of the series. It finally had a good part about 300 pages in. But other than that I found it quite monotoned
