This was not it for me. Although it did keep me hooked enough to finish the story I think it was more out of sheer curiosity at what would happen between Beast & Beauty and all the other characters.

The audiobook sucks! The narrator is awful. She is screechy and whiny and she can't do male voices at all.

Overall, I enjoyed it. I wish I could give it 4.5. There was one trope that I found a little trite, but for a quick, spicy read, it was good. Be warned, not an HEA or even HFN. Haven't decided whether or not to read the second book.

This duet was so bad and yet I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it. It’s supposed to be based on beauty and the beast I guess but other than the names there’s no other sign of that story here.
Both Beast and Aurora make no sense in the context of what was written about them. On the one hand he apparently doesn’t know the word “friends” or “parties” and he doesn’t know that not using protection will lead to pregnancy. However he somehow knows how to eat her out expertly?? She has never had an orgasm and starts out calling her privates “down there” but later she talks about how he made her “pussy tighten”. Like???
Also she wears gloves that her dad required her to wear for most of the book and it’s this huge deal apparently but also those gloves would be disgusting because I’m pretty sure she gives him a handjob with them on among other things. The fact that **spoilers*** her hands are disabled/disfigured is handled so poorly by the author. Like what was the point?? As a reason why other people would think she was disgusting?? It was gross the way other people were talking about her and that somehow she related to the beast because of them.

2 stars. I almost didn't finish it. Just disappointed. Wouldn't read again and I'm not sure (I haven't decided but probably not) if I will be reading the sequel duet. The story really lost me in the middle and I started to not care about the characters at like 70%. I do like the Frankenstein take but I think they introduced it too late. The in the cell portion of the book just gets boring. I don't mean to sound rude but it felt like the author just threw words on a page a bit. Like I did not get the feeling that Aurora was having all the emotions of being locked up besides crying for her dad. Which I unfortunately never liked or thought was going to be someone who we had to like. Honestly I know Lex is supposed to be the bad guy, and hear me out he definitely is a bed guy but idk if he is the bad guy and hear father is a bad guy too imo and that is not expressed enough.
Plot was very strange. The main beast character was confusing because you couldn’t grasp if he was human, beast, or just really jacked up on steroids.
Lots of scenes that made me laugh because they were so ridiculous. Would give it 0/5 if possible.
