when i first started reading this book i felt it was really not a good fit for me as a reader, and was struggling a lot to read it. however as it went on i feel like i started to understand the flow and direction of the book, and the prose is undeniably beautiful and well-written throughout. a lot of the themes of the book, especially toward the beginning, didn’t sit right with me, but the use of the ocean consistently as an exploration of outlooks on life is very interesting. the ending is absolutely chilling, and artfully leaves some things unspoken, after the graphic descriptions in other parts of the book. overall a very interesting, if mildly traumatising, read.

writing was so dreamy didn't expect Weightlessness coming out of a thing so miserable, so many strings of words that felt so sharp (the lines abt rage and despondency..unreal)stands apart from all the other mishima i've read but still feels like a natural progression :o blurry picture of a book, squinting at the sun, loved
book cover in the hall of fame of my heart!!

I picked this book up without knowing a single thing about it. The writing is sometimes incredibly beautiful, especially when describing the mundane.

I'm very interested in reading more by this author!
