The plot was all over the place.

You hated each other in high school.
One popular, one nerd.
Brought back together for a high school reunion and your best friends hit it off.
So you are forced-ish to be in each other lives.

The friends come up with a semi-diabolically plan. They tell each of you that the other one is in love with them.

It's the day of the BFFs wedding and shit hits the fan for them.
Y'all join forces to try and resolve it - which someone leads to you making out and starting a secret relationships.

The popular one is afraid of having your relationship be public because she's not openly bi and she's hoping to get the job of a retiring famous news broadcaster.

Y'all break up.

The BFFs figure it out.

But one BFF's ex husband comes to kill her -- eek.
And you the nerdy one gets hit on the head.
The popular one freaks out and decides it doesn't matter.
She just wants to be with the nerdy one.

Inconsistent tone. Super contrived scenarios for the respective love interests to discover the others feelings - the actual conversations happen off page, so I was even wondering if the friends were lying. Super out of place serious stalking plotline. Half the prominent characters are incredibly immature and unpleasant. Finished this out of morbid curiosity as to how bad it could get. Disappointed because I'm always looking for enjoyable wlw books and this did not fit the bill.
