I have the most mixed feelings about this book. While I enjoyed it, there was also a lot I didn’t like.

What I did enjoy…
✨It kept my attention and I wanted to know what happened!
✨The side characters.
✨The texts & group texts.
✨The Jewish rep & culture.

What I didn’t enjoy…
✨It felt like 75% of the book was focused on 2 side characters and their relationship.
✨Freya & Abby hate each other in the beginning, based on high school 15 years ago, but we hardly see any relationship building between them. And what we do is either completely physical or telling / summarizing. So ultimately, I 1) wasn’t invested in them as a couple and 2) their relationship wasn’t believable.
✨A subplot with one of the side characters that caused a lot of third act drama that again made the book feel more focused on the 2 side characters than the actual MCs.

“Keep This Off The Record”, follows the story of two former high school rivals as they are reconnected in adulthood. This book shares the messy but cute love story of Will and Naomi, as revived rivals Freya and Abby face off time and time again. I listened to the audiobook and thought this was a cute story for anyone looking for a queer enemies to lovers plot line!

*I received an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.*

Despite being marketed as an enemies to lovers sapphic romance, the relationship between Abby and Freya honestly felt like more of a side plot to the relationship between Naomi and Will. I also really struggled believing that these two were actual adults because their antics felt very immature, and honestly I didn't buy into the relationship at all. Like they only start questioning their "hate" because their friends lie to them both by saying the other is in love with them, and then they continue to antagonize.

I firmly believe that every book has it's audience, I just was not the audience for this particular book.

Loved the wedding planning, but the energies part of enemies to lovers wasn’t as apparent als I would’ve thought it would be, liked the characters and everything though!
