I really enjoyed the ending to this one. I thought I was not gonna get the happy ending I wanted, but I did in a way.

Emily Henry has done it again: she made me cry while reading her book.
This is the third novel I read by her and each time I’ve always cried at some point during my reading.
I absolutely LOVED this book, I think it’s by far my favorite of hers so far (I have yet to read Happy Place).
I adored the characters (shoutout to Nora and Charlie omg) and I was hooked from the very beginning.
I highly recommend this novel honestly, it was a very agreeable read.

“but maybe it's possible to have more than one home. maybe it's possible to belong in a hundred different ways to a hundred different people and places.”
okay i tried to start this book once before and didn’t get into it however i’m glad i found a copy at the used book shop and grabbed her because damn! i love emily henry and i loved this story and i cried and smiled and was kicking my feet the whole way through.
i also had a theory about the dad that was wrong which kind of made me happy because i didn’t completely predict the ending. i loved it and all of a sudden really want to go to new york? never been before but i’m about to look at flights.
mellie’s current book ranking for emily henry novels:
1. happy place
2. book lovers
3. people we meet on vacation
4. beach read

started so so strong but rly rushed in the end. charlie and nora have amazing chemistry but lack the time to make it convincing. in another life when i still havent realized i cannot date casually this may have been very personal to me too
