This was a great continuation to the series as we get to see the events that occurred in Unwanted from Lennox point of view. Sam, Lennox and Rhys had such interesting stories, as they were all dealing with past traumas. The romance and the connection they shared was really beautiful.

Since we were dealing with three different stories I would’ve liked for it to be a little bit longer, that way could’ve explored what they had gone through more in depth. It also would’ve given a bit more time to truly understand how they fell in love and developed such a strong connection with each other. Since the story was so short, everything felt a bit rushed in my opinion.

Overall it was a great story and I did really liked it, I just think I would’ve loved it more if I could’ve connected more with all the characters. I definitely recommend everyone to read since the whole series is really interesting. Please check trigger warnings.

Thank you so much to Marley Valentine and The Author Agency for providing me with an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

wish it was longer

I love these characters a lot so I just wish there was more content in the book. I feel like a lot of it was rushed or skipped through and feel that more details for certain scenes could have been included. BUT good book overall :)

I believe this might be the least angst-filled MV to date. Many, including myself, had high expectations for this book, especially after the first book and the unrelated yet amazing "What We Broke." Marley's novels usually bring a level of emotional turmoil and hurt/comfort that I've come to anticipate, but this one didn't quite meet those expectations. It's not necessarily a drawback, but I believe my rating would be different if I had approached it expecting a lighter 250-page read rather than the emotional gut punch I desired.

The initial part of the book closely aligns with the events of "Unwanted," but once we move beyond that, the connection between our three main characters becomes undeniably strong. Many reviews mention the instant connection, and surprisingly, it doesn't bother me, as I generally prefer diving right into the romance without excessive back-and-forth.

However, despite the emotive and robust writing, I found myself wanting more. Specifically, an additional 100-150 pages devoted to developing the trio's relationship on the page. It feels as though we received the first half of a book, followed by a time jump epilogue, where things became a bit too easy or rushed due to the time jumps.

*I received an arc of this book all opinions are my own*

Way too much of the relationship building happens off-page, and I never really connected with any of the characters. I also had no idea what any of them were actually doing in their lives outside of the relationship.

This book was beautiful in so many ways that I literally went through every emotion possible and absolutely loved the shit out of it.

A beautiful and emotional book about finding love even when you aren't looking for it and finding the perfect people who just complete your life in the best way possible.

Unloved revolves around the foster and found family of Lennox, Arlo, Frankie, Clem, and Remy and this is Lennox's story. He sustain's a life changing injury that leaves him deaf at the age of twenty-two. While saddened and working through how this will alter his life, his friends and family really rally around him during this event, especially his best friend Samuel and a new friend, Rhys.

Samuel has been secretly harboring feelings for Lennox for quite some time, but he has his reasons for keeping them under wrap, but it was in those moments when Sammy thought Lennox might not get up that he made a decision not to let the man he loved slip through his fingers, and I'll just say that they became inseparable after those life changing minutes.

Their love for one another is a thing of beauty and easy as slotting two puzzle pieces that fit together. If only everyone fell so easily for one another, life would be grand. However, this easy love has another cog to this intricate clock and his name is Rhys. While his presence brings a sense of peace to everyone around him, Rhys' life is anything by easy. His inner turmoil is messy and brings an emotional flair to the story that will require tissues. Don't fret, he is also the glue that holds everyone together. He is one of those characters that brings life to a story and as such he is integral to it.

This is a beautiful story about growth and understanding, especially in the arms of those who love and care for you.
