I thought this book was super cute and an easy read.

Cooper & Whit were great characters, and I also loved Drew & Penny. Even Cooper’s stepmom was a great addition when she was in it.

I think one of the only things I found an issue with, and I don’t think issue is even the right word, is how similar Whit’s character felt to Abbot’s in “The Place Between”. It still worked for the story, and I still liked him - it just felt familiar already.

Alright, it’s official! I’m a Kit Oliver Stan!

After reading an arc of Light Up the Lamp, I knew I had to dive into Kit’s backlog. I just love the way Kit writes pining and angst. I can feel it in every part of my body and like Light Up the Lamp, this one got me crying too!

Kit knows how to write single POV right. It adds so much tension to the plot. I often times dislike single POV because I feel like I need to know what the other person is thinking but I never feel like I’m missing out in Kit’s books.

I loved Cooper as our MC and Whit was a perfect LI. You could feel the tension between them vibrating off the page and every five minutes I wanted to just smoosh their faces together and make them kiss it out! And when they finally did? Oh my! The steamy scenes were both so hot and also extremely intimate and romantic and it’s something I think is hard to pull off but Kit always does!

All in all this is a cute romance set on a small town farm with enemies to lovers, forced proximity, pining, angst, and plenty of steam. Kit has cemented themselves as an auto buy/read author for me!
