when i asked a bookstore employee their opinion on this author, they compared it to wattpad. not great, but enjoyable.
there are times in reading this series where i hate how unrealistic the book feels. but. i also cried twice and finished it in 2 days. it’s a character driven story intended to educate on shitty parents and domestic abuse. it did it’s job.
i will never be a CoHort (yes that’s what her fans are called) but i will never burn a book. it’s still art. it’s still a story someone put time into writing that i put time into reading, and for that entertainment, i am grateful.

This was a beautiful way to showcase Atlas and his POV. I loved seeing his letters to Lily after he read her journal. It allows you to see what he went through and is going through and what he wants with Lily.
