There is way too much explicit sex in this book for me, and it comes on strong very early on. I was not expecting that at all based on the very innocuous cover! This is also the second of a series, which I didn't realize when I chose it at random from the library. I felt a bit like I came in on the middle of the movie, even though all the backstory is explained as needed. I like the idea of Bookshots very much, and I think this does everything it sets out to do. It hooks the reader quickly with an exciting plot and a small cast of believable characters, and most readers can finish the book in a couple of hours or less. I'm not invested enough to want to read the rest of the McCullagh Inn series, but I'm still interested enough in the Bookshots concept to try some of the others.

I like the McCullagh Inn stories. There is plenty of romance and suspense to keep me interested. I really like Chelsea and Jeremy as a couple. I would love to see a picture of her wedding dress; it sounded amazing. I will keep an eye out for the next book in the series.
