I love Nana’s perspective of life throughout the book (definitely a new pov, compared to the other books i have read), and how grateful Nana is for Satoru (introducing a new life to him). I did not expect Nana’s travelling chronicles to be a result of Satoru’s illness (which I only found out in chapter 4).

Satoru’s last few weeks and days (and Nana’s pov) made me cry 😥

I can't remember the last time I cried so hard. I guess I expected what was going to happen all along but reading it... wow. I really liked Satoru and enjoyed Nana's narrative very much. He was a bit cheeky, insightful and observant.

I originally intended to give this book as a present to a friend whose cat's called Nana, too. I ordered it especially for that purpose without having read it myself so I had a quick look when it arrived but I couldn't stop reading it. I guess I'll keep this one and buy another copy for her.
