DNF @65%. So I have read my fare share of dark mafia books and even some on the lighter side of dark, but I feel like this book was just plain soft. I’m not sure how else to explain expect to say it was soft in my options and not at all what I expected. I guess in a mafia book I expect more tension? It was more on the flat side. I do wish there was an equal side of both their povs and not just mainly hers. Anyways this was not my cup of tea.

I was hooked from the moment I started the book.
It’s fast paced, intriguing, has suspense, drama and spicy. A perfect blend of danger and love.
I absolutely adored Catalina and Dario.
Cat is a cartel princess. She knows what her family is and does.
But she has her own priorities. Wanting to get a degree and work her dream job.
Dario is the heir apparent to his father’s mafia family. He is his own person and has his own ways.
But one thing he needs to do in order to not appear weak and also insure powerful alliances.
He has to get married. He chooses the beautiful Catalina Ruiz.
I loved their story. Loved their personalities.
Loved how they tried to find the good and make the best of their situation and circumstances.
Cat’s loyalty was amazing. She’s a cartel darling. Now a wife to the upcoming capo.
But also a strong woman. A kind and big hearted woman. A woman with great morals and integrity.
Dario doesn’t know how to love. But I loved how he vowed to protect Cat always and forever.
I appreciated that he wasn’t the typical mafia boss. He walks the line of his title in the mafia.
But also his own personal ways and beliefs in his work life and his personal life.
He was a refreshing type of mafia man.
As these two try and navigate their new life together.
They are not only facing their own personal challenges. But outside forces as well.
I’m looking forward and excited to read the next book in the series.

This is the first installment in Aleatha’s new stand-alone mafia, arranged marriage romances within the interconnected world of ‘Brutal Vows’ series. I missed her writing in this genre and it didn’t disappoint. Dario will soon be taking over as Capo to the Luciano Famiglia. His father Vincent to show power and strength he needs Dario to marry and to another family. Enters Catalina Ruiz, the eldest daughter of Andres Ruiz, a top lieutenant in the Roríguez Cartel in which she’s basically forced to do so but also to protect her sister. Relationship of the main couple happens quickly in this book and we learn more of the side characters as well. I think this is focused more on the relationship initially towards the middle then the mafia storyline builds throughout to the end. I’m looking forward to more.

I'm a huge fan of Aleatha's so I was ecstatic for the opportunity to read her newest book: NOW AND FOREVER! This was a strong first book to the Brutal Vows series. I've never read a mafia vs. cartel romance before and I really enjoyed it! The book was well-written; the plot was captivating and I thought the character development was excellent. I highly recommend the book if you're looking for a fast-paced addictive mafia type romance!

Thanks so much, Aleatha and Wildfire Marketing Solutions, for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

This story was a compelling tale from the very first word to the very last. It was a tale of angst, brutality, and romance told in only a way Aleatha can tell.

Dario gives us a different perspective of a Mafia man. His relationship with our heroine, Catalina, is a bit off the path and an original spin on the Mafia romance and I am one happy reader for it.

You need to grab this Aleatha tale. You will NOT regret it.

I really enjoyed the Sin series so I was surprised by this book. I thought this was going to be a lot better then it was. It was super cookie cutter which I was not expecting. There was no conflict in this book and I didn't think these MC's had any real chemistry.

I was definitely entertained by this book and it was a quick read. I’m a sucker for a Made Man who’s “soft for her” and this definitely checked that box as well. However, overall I just couldn’t find myself falling in love with the characters quite like I’d hoped.

Aleatha Romig's books are some of my favorites. There is something about her storytelling that just sets her apart from others.

Now and Forever is a mafia/cartel romance, and we go through it all with our main characters. From the arranged marriage to the drama/suspense, it was all wonderful. Now I will admit that I wished for more at times. I actually would have preferred if this book would have been a bit longer, with more action/suspense, and perhaps been a duet. Yes I was wanting that cliffhanger. But that wasn't happening. Didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book/story though.

I'm ready to see what happens in the next Brutal Vows book. My curiosity is definitely piqued.
