This compilation of Manga stories was so unique and had an intense amount of symbolism and reflection that feels that I’ll need to read it again to gain an understanding. That being said I loved the Birthday Girl and The Seventh Man especially because of the inspiring messaging and for highlighting importance of introspection. I have yet to read a full Haruki Murakami book but this has absolutely inspired me to do so!!

Turns out I don't like literary stories and I don't care for how Murakami writes.

I especially liked the 2nd and 4th tales, while the others were just OK. I'd read the second volume first, which I'm now sure doesn't matter. It's all just a slightly above average set of graphic depictions of the great Murakami's work.
