Really enjoyed seeing the complexities of relationships and how important recognizing cycles of generational trauma and abuse is to save one’s own life. I cried my eyes out, because sometimes, most of the time, things aren’t as black and white as they seem. Must read!

There is one man who considers himself 'gay' who is briefly in the story. If you are sensitive to abuse between parents or even families (domestic abuse) then you may not want to read this book. It is the main theme although it is very very inspiring and shows how people can work through this! So sad! Prepare to cry!!! 😭
