As a teenager, I had always been told that Coleen Hoover’s books were problematic, that the relationships were toxic and abusive and the books harmful when consumed. For that reason, I had always stayed away, not wishing to partake in novels that romanticised abuse.
Now I just think that these books are adult for a reason, and perhaps the people I was hearing reviews from simply did not have the critical thinking skills or education to properly consume these books the way they should be.

This is probably the best book I’ve read in 2021. It was so heart wrenching at times, but made me put a lot of things in perspective. It had me captivated from start to finish. I hope that I can remember to be brave and bold when times get hard, like Lily was. I will definitely be reading this in the future!!
