AUNT POSTER by John Wayne Comunale is a delightfully uncomfortable coming of age tale. Uncomfortable because its the story of a young, teen aged boy who is dealing with feelings he's having for his aunt. His aunt, by the way, is a bonified pin-up poster. Not the model who appears on poster, but the poster itself. And thats where you fall in love with this wondeful story.

The story is more funny than serious. The foreward may lead you to believe there are deep social examinations to be had but I think the author did't necessarily mean to impregnate deeper meaning into tne story. Though the story tackles adult situation, it manages tp breeze past the more intimate details. The whole vibe is nearly a John Huges-esque teen movie.

If this book gets adapted for a screenplay, we will get treated to the next Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Its funny and fun to read. The ending is perfect and the story and characters are very relatable. Pin this up to the top of your TBR pile.
