If you like bad boys, you'll like Drix ;) (the main guy in the story) MWAHHHAHA

He was honestly such a great character throughout the whole book. Sometimes he was such a good person I wanted to smack him and be like COME ON BE NAUGHTY!!

Elle was also such a great match for Drix. She was humble even though she came from a wealthy family and she was a sweet person overall.

There is more than just romance in this book! Def a good one to read!

4.5/// really enjoyed this book overall and the emotional plot line had me hooked. The character development in Elle was nice to see and Drix’s personality was amazing! Thor was adorable and I did cry with his scenes. Totally recommend!

An amazing book. I loved every page of it. Katie McGarry has done it again. She has written a book about two teenagers who are finding themselves while facing difficult challenges in their own lives and shown us their strength and love.
I loved Drix and Elle, they were perfect for each other in every way.

As far as romance goes, the buildup was decent, but the payoff was not great. There were several plot threads introduced that weren't really revisited, and many more that were, which required more focus than I usually want to devote to fluff. Also, I was excited about the social issues woven into the narrative, but I might have been more excited if Drix had actually committed the crime he was arrested for and proven himself redeemable anyway.

A good take on the broken system that is politics and the justice system. How low income kids get railroaded into take plea deals even when innocent because the whole system is flawed. This story is about one such kid, but also a governor's daughter who learned to break free of her overpowering and protective parents, and learned to stand up for herself and the people she loves.

Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed reading this book.
It’s not my favorite book by Katie McGarry, but it reminded me once again why she’s become one of my favorite authors!

Can we please stop killing animals as a plot point?
