What beauty. I wish I could read it for the first time over and over again.

One of the most intimate novels I've ever read. It speaks so much about yearning and love in a style that's really unique, at least from my experience. It's almost as if I'm reading the author's actual thoughts and not just some made up character. This book impacted me on such a personal scale that I don't even know how to explain it. I don't even like anyone!!!

Never has a book hit me as hard emotionally as this one. Already loved the movie, but the book is even stronger. Full body chills and tears after reading that final paragraph.

“Those before and those after Oliver”

This book took me unbelievably long to finish, but I felt more compelled to finish after coming home from San Diego for reasons I’ll leave to be vague…

Aciman captures this tension perfectly between two people who are constantly edging closer to this imaginary line but both afraid to cross it. Literally so infuriating at times like Elio you bottom please stand up and do something
