Honestly, I liked a lot about this book ... everything that didn't involve Jeff, Reader and Chuckie. Unfortunately, their behavior was so spectacularly stupid that it felt, imo, wildly out of character. Like, way beyond my ability to suspend disbelief. That part gets 2 stars. But the rest of the book gets a tentative 5 stars - tentative because I'd like some explanation on
Spoilerwhat in heck the new, infectious superbeing was, and where it came from
- because it was fun and smart and at the usual breakneck pace that this series does so well.

I do still love Kitty but....the first 300 pages were mostly talk, people saying whatevs and totes. Jeff saying Baby in every sentence (it creeps me out) and I was glad when he was not around much cos no, not sexy.

The next 300 pages started to pick up some action when Kitty goes to find her missing people. Of course the biggest thing I thought would happen was like 50 pages, the whole Camp David thing. That actually could have been longer.

When you love something so much, then well you can complain. And for me this book could have been shorter. Half of it was a filler where Kitty showed how her brain works. Also I wanted more of the others, these are getting really Kitty oriented. Also way too many people around these days. Also, I want a big ass war now. Give me a showdown with the Zporrah...fine, it's coming but I want it now.

When you are a book 13 the danger of fillers do come around, and I get that soooo much has to be talked about. Jeff is after all the president now.

I still enjoyed it and read it really fast, but I do think that if there are too many fillers in the future, then...

4.5 stars!

Another great Kitty romp by one of my favorite authors ever!

I love Kitty, the gang and all the immense amount of trouble they get into each and every book in this fantastic series.
The U.S. now has an alien as commander in chief and things couldn't be getting any more problematic for our favorite heroine and her extended family.

Gini does it again by delivering a book that I could not put down for even a second and had me wishing I already had the next one.

13 books in and I can't see this series slowing down at all and that's an incredible feat.

If you love your sci-fi with terrific sense of humor, adventures, mischief, suspense, betrayal and heart, this is the series for you!

Reading a new Kitty Katt-Martini book is like opening a huge present and finding it full of other presents. Camp Alien is exactly like that - one event after another. From start to finish, this was a wild ride. It will take another reading or two to grasp everything that happened - and I mean that in the best possible way. GREAT addition to the series!!

Oh, yeah, this book was so fantastic! There were more changes, and so much was happening! I can't wait to read Alien Nation and finally catch up with what's been currently published!
