I had seen the movie and now want to read the Frank Cotrell Boyce sequel so needed to read the first. Quick read, great British humor and fun story! I know kids would enjoy this even though it's from the 60's!

Such a wonderful kids book! This is a perfect book to read to kids, especially boys. I had grown up with the movie and enjoyed it, but I like the book even better. The author (he wrote all the James Bonds books) left the ending open for sequels but he unfortunately passed away when this first got published. Too bad! Anyways, I'd recommend this to parents to have their kids read.

The movie is a loooot more different than I expected and I re-realized the fun of childhood movie musicals with songs playing in the background in my head with the relevant events in the audiobook, fun fun nevertheless

This was the first time I've ever read this book, even though I've seen the movie dozens of times. I was very surprised how different the book was from the movie, but it was just as enjoyable and I highly recommend it.
