This was a fun read if you like CIA stuff.  There isn’t really one hero, but there certainly is one bad guy. The book was a nice change of pace for me.

3.5 stars. Rounded up because this is my first Brendan Dubois novel and I was unsure what to expect. Overall…decent, but the plot seemed to be all over the place. Too much happening, and some of the plot points were borderline ridiculous.

This seemed like a series of books all crammed into one. I could imagine this having been a three book series. Mr. Dubois could have taken his time with character development and the plot and it would have been a much more enjoyable experience.

Didn’t finish it. Read up to chapter 27. This book is unnecessarily long for no reason. There’s too many unnecessary characters and unnecessary dialogues that don’t contribute to the story.

It had potential though. It almost had me but then it just lost me.

2.5 stars. Meh. Interesting (terrifying) premise, marginal writing, silly subplots. Second stinker in a row from him - think I’m done.

I don’t read much James Patterson - this was did it disappoint. It had me hooked from the beginning. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Defiantly would have finished it earlier if I had the time.

basically everyone in this book committed some type of crime and is going to hell...like damn do we not possess common sense all of a sudden? also it's VERY FUNNY how they didn't mention any political parties in this book at all like...this is a political thriller however i unfortunately was entertained despite how batshit crazy and unrealistic this book is
