Like the first, this was a very easy, quick, light, fun read. It was funny and cute and had some great things going for it.

I was prepared to like it but only find it alright compared to the first since I wasn't that charmed by the elves so I was pleasantly surprised to find this more enjoyable and had more heart than I anticipated.

Some things I enjoyed about this book in particular:
* Dave (gotta love him)
* The creepy singing lady (I was cackling with laughter)
* Strong badass blacksmith woman
* Decent relationship discussion and figuring out wants/needs with romantic/sexual partners
* Polycule/throuple rep
* I'm not sure how to phrase this but everything with Benji's anarchist attempts and the throwing phrases out casually and the way the actual government turned out. It was over the top and funny and well done.

Just a bit too forward yet too shallow for my taste.

3.5 stars. More enjoyable than the first one but my absolute favorite is still the 3rd and the last. Perhaps good thing that I started in the wrong way but still a cute series would like to read more like it. Glad I continued with the series and not just for the completion reasons

really enjoyed this second trip into the world. More coherent thoughts

The More Coherent Thoughts Here
What to say. This book was exactly what it was going to be.

It’s a MMM when two of the characters are bumping uglies and pretending—or not thinking about the fact that it’s a little deeper then headboard banging sex and this is shown to both of them when a person turns up they both want to jump. Honestly, tho I feel the romance with the new dude worked and it was sweet and sappy it is very much a romance of our two elves realising they can feel deeply for each other even if that’s not what they are meant to be.

It wasn’t as laugh out loud funny as the first book and yet it had some moments that had me smiling. I guess it’s funnier in what’s happening around them over funny in their story which the first one was a little more that way, I think. I don’t know, it’s a different sort of funny and it was perfect for the story it was telling.

I enjoyed going back into the world. I really enjoyed the three MC’s and their romances. And overall looking forward to more stories in this series.

Loved it! Benji, Calarian and Lars were so good together, and I loved how they figured out they had feelings and not just an ‘elf-with-benefits’ deal. *kissing*

The start was so funny *splat* and I loved Gretchen and Hannah too. A great sequel to the first book, and I loved that we got to see Dave, Quinn and Loth too.

3.5 rounded down this time, but I still think it's a very nice and easy read.

Hilarious and cheeky! Mixed in with the ridiculousness are interesting personalities, some social commentary, and character growth. I loved Cal and Benji and Lars.

DNF at 80%. I just couldn’t keep going. The elves were annoying, inner dialogue was idiotic, and everything steamy was closed door. The first book in the series was cute and the characters charismatic.
