I really loved this one. Out of the infernal devices series I loved this one the most, and I think it's cool to see how the infernal devices characters tie in with the mortal instrument characters.

Honestly didn’t expect the ending but I’m not mad about it.

By The Angel, the ending of this book was more satisfying than I thought it was going to be. Yet, still sad to move on from these characters ; Jem, Will, Tessa, Charolette, Cecily, Gabriel, Gideon, Magnus, Sophie..even Jessamine (annoying as I found her to be most of the time), and Henry. Reading of their triumphs, failures, frustrations, and celebrations. Series on Friendship, love, putting ones self above another, action, betrayal (to a group of people who did not deserve it, yet prevailed), humor (sometimes I was glad I was by myself when reading this book cause I think a few times I laughed out loud more ridiculously than I should've..even my 6 yr old son, would be like "What's so funny? The book?" Haha. Will had quite the funny remarks - I think the demon pox thing is what got me to laugh ridiculously too much. lol). I loved the update in the Epilogue that she gave on everyone in the end, and I think that is what made the book a satisfying ending. Still sad to see this series end, I loved it quite a bit!!

This book would have been five stars except the author used the slur “Gypsy” when she meant Romani.

This book was almost given a two star rating, but the epilogue bumped it up a star. There is a long list of things that just did not work for me in The Clockwork Princess, but since the list is so long I will keep it short:

UGGGH LIST
1. The use of foreign languages was pedantic not effective
2. The excessive references to other novels (ESPECIALLY A Tale of Two Cities) killed me. I gave ATTC two stars fyi
3. How long and drawn out it was. This book wasn't any worse than the other two, there was just so much of the same stuff happening, it really got old. Like as old as Tessa and Magnus Bane.
4. In my review of The Clockwork Prince I predicted that Clare would pair up all of the characters. I. TOLD. YOU. SO. 'nuff said
5. It was too long. Oh, did I already mention this? Hmmm that's a little redundant... Hey just like this series!
6.The evil guy wasn't even in the second book or the majority of this book. The only thing evil was the 500 pages I had to read just to get to the interesting parts!
7. Because the original bad guy was so absent, Clare gave us a new bad guy in the Consul. He was just a really stereotypical bad guy.
8. This book introduces the use of letter writing as device to convey plot. This is a break from the precedent set in the first two novels, and it was completely out of place in this series.
9. There was nothing that established the time period or British culture effectively. There was no differentiation between Tessa's American accent and the British ones.

With all of these things in mind, I really did love the epilogue. I almost started to cry- I didn't though because this book wasn't that good. Is it worth it to read the entire series just to get to the epilogue? I don't know. How long is your flight?

FAVORITE!!!! Best of the series!!
adventurous emotional inspiring tense medium-paced

that epilogue destroyed me and that’s really all i have to say about this book right now

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Indeed this is one one of the most satisfying endings to a series I've ever read. But one thing is for sure, I would never want immortality even if it was offered to me in a silver platter. Nothing is more horrible than watching your loved ones grow old and die while you live forever.

*spoilers ahead*

I've finally chosen a side. I'm team Jem. I like Will fine, but team Jem all the way. I was a bloody mess when Will thought Jem had died. But later on, after seeing the reactions of people of the institute, I began to suspect Jem hadn't died. I never thought of him becoming one of the silent brothers, and this was as good as dead for me since him and Tessa couldn't be together then. But the epilogue blew me away! What a fine way to resolve a love triangle where everyone wins. But the realization that Tessa would outlive Jem too struck hard. I wish Tessa wasn't immortal. Immortality is a curse. I can't bear the thought that she might fall in love again with someone else, centuries later when both Will and Jem are nothing but faded memories.

The bond shared between Tessa, Will and Jem was beautiful. Friendship goals right there. I really wish they had worked together as a time and become a bad ass trio, but that never happened. This series is not about shadowhunters or magic or warlocks. This series is about love. And we get just that. Not just among these three, but other characters too.

I love Charlotte/Henry. I was even more heartbroken to know Henry might be dead than I was when Jem was implied dead. Sophia and Gideon's relationship was also lovely. I loved Sophie's character development throughout the series. Gabriel/Cecily were fine.

I am really glad that Jem and Tessa got together at the end, but the feeling is also bittersweet because of the fact that Jem will die like Will, and Tessa will live forever. Im saying it again, immortality is shit.

I love this series. I'm so glad I picked it up.
