A work colleague gave me this to read, which I did as it was very short and did not take very long. More of a song than a book and telling us about the indigenous people and a overview sketch of their history.
My colleague was somewhat unsure about the title - what you should know? I tend to agree is it something we should know? Possibly? Maybe it could have been worded in a better way.
Anyway a decent introduction into the subject, although the often repeated line of the indigenous people being here for anywhere between 60 - 120 thousand years depending on whom you ask is still one that I'm not sure has much evidence, having said that they were clearly here a long time prior to white settlement as the Mabo decision made clear.
