3.5 stars. Some stories were better than others. My fav, by far, was Mark Burnett and how he turned Trump into a presidential candidate. I had never thought about his show’s impact.

This was a good book. I am not an avid reader of non-fiction, and I will admit that I was expecting (maybe moreso hoping?) these articles would read like exciting capers. They are more on the informative side than descriptive, but they also aren’t entirely dry—they walk the line masterfully; so much so that I could have convinced myself that some articles were a chapter in a novel (certainly the piece on Bourdain had charm to it).
All that being said, I don’t feel fair giving this book a number. The number I pick would feel weighed down by my own natural aversion to non-fiction, but giving a higher number also feels disingenuous. So…
It’s a good book. I’ll leave it at that.

2.5/5 thought I would like it more but I think it was just too similar to school and work and so it wasn’t fun to listen to
Not every section kept my attention but every section was ridiculously well written
