Holy Smokes - have you ever read a book where it just feels like the author is explaining concepts that make a ton of sense, but you’ve never considered them before. I will be re-reading and learning from this book for a long time.
I can’t wait to read other books by her.

My first Brené Brown book. I wanted to be far more into than I ever was. The energy and engaging nature I saw when I watched her TedTalk didn't translate for me with this book. I had to read and re-read many paragraphs and felt I could never really "get going" with this one.

I appreciated her research and insights but there were no real aha moments for me.

Wasn’t what I was hoping for. She gives a lot of personal backstory and anecdotes and I wasn’t resonating with any of it.
