Life-changing. Really smart. Helpful and backed up with research. Learned the difference between shame and guilt. Learned the true importance of vulnerability. This book gives me ways to be who I want to be. It teaches in one of the chapters how to close the gap between your aspirational values and your real values. I plan to reread this. I'm glad I own this book! Brene Brown is a pioneer in the field of shame research! I'm glad I read this at my age. I feel like it will really help me throughout my life, especially when I decide to start a family and raise children.
This book definitely called me out in what I deemed as vulnerability. I loved Brene's writing and her personal experiences. Even though I don't relate to the challenges with motherhood, I relate to the challenges of being someone's daughter. I encourage everyone to read this book who has struggled with guilt, shame, and vulnerability. Which is.. aka everyone.

Wow, some stuff was really relatable. I will definitely try to implement what I've learned abt how important vulnerability is. I highly appreciated the personal stories the author shared as an example of the topics mentioned.
Brene Brown brought just the right amount of nerdy to speak to me about raising my EQ.
