I wish I read this five years ago. Yet, I think books come along at the right time. It was eye opening to look at vulnerability as a necessity and a major driver in creativity and the very thing that strengthens us. Vulnerability is not to be feared, but embraced. That’s difficult to do, but so worthwhile if you can withstand the momentary pain.
Some great ideas but I found the execution awkward to read

Great... but painful to read. Wonderful food for thought and action, but also cause for tears and agony.
So amazing! What strikes me the most about this book is how relevant it is for me right now in my life. This is one of those books that I'm going to need to read and reread over and over to continue so I continue to remember to "dare greatly" and get past the critics. It's ok to be vulnerable. It's what makes things worth it. If it isn't a little scary, is it really challenging and changing you? Probably not.
One of my favorite quotes: "We can"t practice compassion with other people if we can't treat ourselves kindly."
Can't wait to read her other books.

I love that Brown narrates the book herself. Definitely another inspiring audiobook!
I picked this one up years ago on a recommendation and it’s sat on my shelf since. I wish I had opened it sooner. If you’re ready to be a bit vulnerable, Brown has some pretty nice thoughts on living your best self. Feeling inspired after this read and a bit braver.
