This too-short book grew on me: Beautiful, passionate. By the end, I wished it was so much longer. The main character, the Queen, was so brave, graceful, full of a viral hope; the writing, which at times may have been too florid (but also apt for the protagonist), transported me to Pinochet's Santiago. A truly gifted writer.

Esta novela tiene un texto precioso: la prosa está trabajada y Lemebel demuestra que es capaz de transmitir la esencia de cada momento en el que se detiene. He disfrutado mucho de la lectura, pero el último tercio del texto se me hizo repetitivo; aunque seguía estando muy bien escrito ya no me aportaba nada ni en su fondo ni en su forma.

Lemebel, sin duda, era un autor interesantísimo.

Με κίνδυνο να φανώ πολύ αρνητική, δε μου άρεσε τίποτα. 
Χαρακτήρες καρικατούρες, γεμάτο στερεότυπα, και μακροσκελείς περιγραφές, με επιθετικούς προσδιορισμούς και παρομοιώσεις που δεν έβγαζαν νόημα. 
Μια ιστορία που εκτυλίσσεται στη Χιλή του Πινοσέτ, προς το τέλος της διδκατορίας και του τρόμου, όπου οι άνθρωποι άρχισαν να μιλάνε και να ζητάνε δικαιοσύνη και δημοκρατία, θα περίμενε κανείς μια ιστορία τουλάχιστον ενδιαφέρουσα. Αντ'αυτού η ιστορία είναι βαρετή, μπαγιάτικη, σαν κακή επιθεώρηση ή βιντεοκασέτα του '80 (για όσους ξέρουν).

Está hermosísimo. Le agarré un cariño enorme a la "Loca del Frente", es todo un personaje, y la admiro mucho también.

Me ha encantado el estilo del autor y la ambientación. La forma de expresión de una realidad crudísima. Una ficción en un marco histórico real muy plausible, sin embargo, siendo una novela breve tiene un ritmo lento, aunque también crea una tensión muy interesante.
