I love the author noting that we often hear of people that do something for the first time but rarely hear about the people doing something for the last time.

In these 10 chapters we learn about customs and traditions on the brink of extinction and the people trying to sustain these practices. From delivering mail to an oak tree in Germany to human libraries in Mali we get a global tour of unique traditions that may one day not exist.

These stories were fascinating, engaging and informative.
