Wonderful writing - the setting begins in California but later moves to Kentucky. A story about a girl/woman who is searching for something but even she does not know what. I enjoyed hearing the story/backstory of each main character from their perspective. Reminds you of just how little you really know about your parents lives before they became your parents. It is wonderful to know Ann Patchett was such a great writer from her first book.
