Holy smokes, what a ride this book was. A horrifying, bone chilling, intense but awesome read. Had I read this when I was younger, there is no chance I would’ve gone on that Boundary Waters trip. I can’t think of a more nightmarish situation for 5 teenage boys to go through. Very interested to read more by Nick Cutter after starting out with this book.

The Troop was recommended by a Yellowjackets group I’m in with claims of having the same vibes and I was not disappointed! So gross at times but, I just couldn’t stop. I plan on reading more by Nick Cutter!

nowadays i usually find myself bawling only when i pick up really gory dark horror and i guess i’m fine with it

Anyways this was absolutely horrifying, disgusting and brilliant. i read with my eyes half-closed at one point because i was so grossed out but didn’t want to stop reading!
