I’ve never been a huge fan of James Patterson novels, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that a book under his imprint didn’t blow me away.

It might be a reading slump, but I didn’t really connect with any of the characters. It was all right, but not enough for me to want to pick up book 2. Which is kind of a – bad – feat in itself, since I’m pretty much always down for anything that includes vampire lore.

Absolutely obsessed with this series! I’m not one to read mistery but this book has the perfect mix of everything, including a brown-haired sarcastic intelligent love interest. I saw the ending coming, but at the same time I didn’t which is always a plus. Also, I loved both Audrey Rose and Thomas; they reminded me so much of Connor and Rose Cobalt from the Addicted series. Audrey Rose is such a feminist icon tbh. 
Excited to see how it’ll continue!
